Video Game Renting Services -Comparison Chart

TopGamesReviews.com and TopGamesReviews.com are video game subscription rental sites, but some fundamental differences show up when comparing sites. For starters, TopGamesReviews.com is an exclusive video game seller and renter, while RedOctane's primary business focus is on their games like Guitar Hero.

Both rent games, but RedOctane charges $18.95/month for two rentals versus $22.95 at TopGamesReviews.com, and RedOctane has a smaller selection of video game titles (2,100 vs. 6,000). Features found lacking at RedOctane but offered by GameFly, are: a free trial subscription, a buy after renting option, a discussion forum and a ratings section for video games.

GameFly also has much better game descriptions.

Also, while GameFly rents games for PS3, PS2, PSP, Xbox 360, Xbox, Wii, GameCube, Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance, RedOctane doesn't carry Game Boy Advance or Nintendo DS.

Basically, GameFly has a more user-friendly interface with better browsing tools, a larger selection of video games, more detailed game descriptions with screenshots plus user reviews and lots of information on video games such as cheats and tricks. It costs a little more than RedOctane, but offers a whole lot more in return.
